An energetic crowd at the Nippon Budokan was treated to a memorable night of action up and down the card as six promotions came together in the spirit of unity.

The Schadentekkers team of Zack Sabre Jr. and Chris Brookes fell to Taichi and KAI, though KAI was not really part of the decision; when the DRAGONGATE member tried to get a steel chair involved, Taichi’s harsh rebukes led to the Holy Emperor finishing the match by himself, and after a miscue between Brookes and Sabre, Taichi picked up the win. The Britons argued after the bell, but came to the aid of Taichi when attacked by angered KAI, and an intriguing trio appeared to be potentially formed.

A stunning ten man junior all star tag saw bodies fly all over as El Desperado, HAYATA, Ninja Mack, MAO and Kota Minoura bested YAMATO, Hiromu Takahashi, Dragon Bane, Alpha Wolf and Shunma Katsumata. Minoura caught YAMATO to pick up the win and break a long losing streak against the DRAGONGATE veteran, perhaps signaling a big rise in his future.

Tomohiro Ishii and Daisuke Sekimoto vs Masa Kitamiya and Jeff Cobb was every bit the super heavyweight violent clash the fans had aniticpated. A hard hitting war ended with Ishii suprising Cobb with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster, as contenders seem to be lining up for Cobb’s freshly won NJPW World TV Championship.

The ‘Team Besties’ combination of Natsupoi and Starlight Kid came together to defeat Miyu Amasaki and AZM. A high speed contest saw the O2Line team of AZM and Amasaki having the edge against the fresh team of Natsupoi and SLK in places, but some slick teamwork, and in the end the Star Suplex Hold saw Kid to victory over Miyu.

The sole singles match of the night saw Kenoh victorious over Kosei Fujita. Wrestling a larger heavyweight Kenoh, junior heavyweight Fujita laboured under brutal strikes from the former GHC Champion, but still gave troubles to Kenoh before the PFS foot stomp ended his night.

The evening started on a sour note though, as HOUSE OF TORTURE picked up a tainted victory over the Shacho Squad of Hiroshi Tanahashi, Naomichi Marufuji and Sanshiro Takagi. EVIL pinning the Ace Tanahashi will certainly do little to put the King of Darkness in his place as he continues to claim false ‘Presidency’.
